Chris Bailey, singer of the legendary rock band The Saints, has died
Chris Bailey died at the age of 65.
The group announced the news on a social networking site Monday morning, calling Bailey the "life of poetry and music."
The information was confirmed by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).
Led by Bailey for five decades, the band was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2001.

Songwriter Jimmy Barnes described Bailey as a "master of words" in his online tribute
Queensland federal Labor MP Graham Perrett described Bailey as "one of the best leaders of all time".
